Christine Violet comes to the SCA by way of a demo in the 6th grade. At the time she thought "That is silly. Adults playing dress up, and pretending to fight with wooden swords? That's for little kids. I'd never do anything like that."
Fast forward just over 20 years...
While running an errand after a bad day of work, Christine stumbled upon people setting up for the Spring Tyger and Bucket Tavern in 2013. While the event wasn't open yet, she was encouraged to come back later and after salvaging a dress she wore to a medieval-themed wedding she did. The hour or two she had planned on staying turned into a lovely, if exhausting, late-running evening of much needed fun. The awful job didn't last much longer, but the new and very fun hobby has.
Now, Christine dabbles in fencing, archery, sewing, embroidery and other fiber arts, painting, dance, and theatrics with the Malagentian Players.
Maybe some day Christine will settle down to a more specific time and place, but for now she's just playing and learning about garb making. She started wearing 12th century bilauts, then jumped ahead to the 14th century with some "Gates of Hell" sideless surcoats, and more recently has jumped back to Viking fashions. History is too interesting to be stuck in one century of clothing. She chose the violet border in her heraldry to play off of her name and the brown mouse was inspired by her beloved pet rat Pete.

In Case of Court
- I prefer surprises that don't change my plans for the day. I usually attend the larger royal courts, so being called up is good. Smaller courts or being summoned outside of court are not preferred.
