I shall tell you about Colonel Christian Woolfe if you have the time.

Christian is a cavalier of a slightly later period (but thankfully tolerated very well by his most generous comrades). He is a English Soldier through and through and his every moment is dedicated to the service of the Crown, the Kingdom, and the people therein. The sword is the primary tool of this service and its instruction to all those who would wish to learn its uses from him.

Christian began in the SCA 20 years ago or so (sometimes it is hard to keep track) and spent a great deal of time studying the rapier. Through his teachers and friends he learned in time how to not only pass on that art but to find other ways to lend an hand such as writing, staffing events, metal and wood work.

At Pennsic XXI having been a newly promoted Captain that summer, a small group began their journey under his command known as Woolfes Dragoons. A service oriented company of fighters, fencers, poets and bards who pledged fealty to the Crown the Kingdom and the Peoples of these Eastern lands. Their moto, “To Serve, Love and Honor” carrying them forward. As the years past other Captains joined and formed their own companies. Christian now serves as Colonel to three companies (Dragoons, Privateers, and Cavaliers) and is constantly honored to serve with these fine individuals.

As mentioned, Christian is very much interested in working with his hands and under the instruction of kind masters and good friends he spent years learning to craft rapier hilts as well as restoration of existing works of art. Ever seeking to perfect this art, but knowing full well that the journey is all important beyond that destination.
