Persona

Mistress Charis is a 13th Century Welsh noblewoman, skilled in the arts of cooking, spinning, knitting, tailoring, acting, singing, archery, riding, fencing, and calligraphy and illumination. She can usually be found in the kitchen. Raised in Wales, born in 1201 into the household of Envedd, castellan to Llewellyn. Her father was the falconer for the household and her mother worked as a head cook. Through many years working with her mother in the kitchen, she learned the culinary arts. Eventually taking over responsibilities from her mother as head cook until she married (to a 16th century Italian - its a long story :) )
