Introduction

Bregowine began in the SCA in Drachenvaed in 1999 where he spent four years as an enthusiastic fencer under the guide of one "William of Arathain." He returned to the society in 2011 where he revealed his true identity as tenth century saxon with a passion for heavy combat, history, and ponies. When he isn't bust being Duke Sir Edward Grey's man-at-arms, Bregowine teaches classes related to mounted hunting and/or the anglo-saxon period, and fences.

Persona

Bregowine is a tenth century saxon, a minor member of the East Anglian gentry, now part of Wessex. He keeps a tiny manor house at Horseheath called Galloping Hill. When he isn't serving Edward the Elder in the field, he spends as much time as possible with horses and hounds.

Retired Persona: William of Arathain

William of Arathain was a late 16th century swordsman and scalawag marooned for four years in Scotland; he hasn't been seen since his ship, The Morning Star, was finally repaired about twelve years ago.
