Lady Angelica, the widow of a wine merchant formerly of Nova Lipa, a town in the White Carniola region noted for its wonderful wines currently prefers her abode in Firenze. At present she struggles to learn the language of the Tuscans while being distracted by the ongoing demands of the wine business and her household.
