== Introduction ==
== Introduction ==
Lady Alison Wodehalle lives within the Shire of Hartshorn-dale in the Southern region of the East Kingdom. She has served 4 years as East Kingdom Chatelaine, and prior to that served as Southern Region Deputy Chatelaine, Hartshorn-dale Chatelaine, and Hartshorn-dale's pursuivant (herald). She has served as autocrat for the shire's large Greenlane Demo event for 5 years from 2004 to 2008, and created Nova Schola, serving as autocrat for 3 years from 2007-2009. Alison also ran gate for Crown Tourney hosted by Hartshorn-dale spring 2011, and for Dining with Lorenzo spring 2012.
Having been raised on tales of Pennsic from her aunt and uncle, of Great Courts, lords and ladies, kings and queens, since the time it first appeared at Cooper’s Lake, with the stories of people who sought to recreate an ancient chivalric way of life during their time at the Great Pennsic War, Alison was eager to find the SCA near home. In 2002, she joined the Shire of Hartshorn-dale and happily immersed herself and her family into the SCA.

Most recently Alison was Event Steward for the Known World A&S Symposium held in Hartshorn-dale in March 2018, which was a two day event, hosting 58 speakers, and several activities including a Ball, and A&S display, and A&S consult table, medieval games, a Guild Hall, and two academic researchers who were the headline speakers.
For all the communities she has been in prior to this, she has never felt so at home, among people who love the same things she does, especially the amazing craftsmen found here, the making of things, including cloth, garments, armor, tools, metalwork, illuminations, carvings, and all the amazingly talented people who embody the SCA.

She is a member of one household, Valodin, which is a service oriented household in the southern region.

Her SCA interests center around sewing and costuming, with a concentration on research into 14th century life in and around southeastern England and France. She enjoys creating and teaching construction of the Gothic Fitted Dress, as well as researching possible alternative methods of construction. She enjoys embroidery, tablet weaving, & fingerloop braiding, as well as other means of embellishing both the garments and the accessories. She loves to teach these topics as well, often having people over to her house for sewing, embroidery, viking dress class, or GFD class. Alison does all of her own costuming, and has dressed several of her friends, providing part of the Coronation garments worn by Aiketerine I, and a dress worn at the Investiture of Baroness Bhakail, Sabine de Kerbriant. She has made and given away several 14th century style embroidered hoods.

Her primary persona is from Kent, and was born about 1360. She enjoys research of life in this culture, concentrating on costuming, but including all aspects of life, such as dining habits, occupations for women, & childbearing. Alison also enjoys  learning more about the culture of the Indian sub-continent within period, and more about the Danes or Northmen for the 8th and 9th centuries, and of course the costuming for these cultures. Costuming detail for the 14th century is really her passion, however.
Alison does better without being surprised. Contact Brandr Bjorndall (Brendan Weir) or Milissent de Heathwaite (Colleen Heath). Should a question of peerage arise, a writ is preferred. Willing to be recognized in a virtual court.
