Introduction

Title Name. SCA Biography. Selected Awards (the Wiki is not the place to do a full awards list).

I am Lady Alesia de Maris of Ravenstar, a late 12th Century Norman lady. I joined the SCA just after Pennsic 14 in the Barony (then Shire) of Smoking Rocks (Southeastern Massachusetts). I currently live in the Barony of Bhakail(Philadelphia area) in the East Kingdom. I have been a Mistress of the Lists, chiurgeon, deputy Herald and chatelain.

I am the Baronial Chatelain (newcomers liasion) and I teach garb making and assist newcomers in finding their way. I am also interested in cross stitch, heraldry and making sotelties (sotelties are decorative items made from sugar paste) but I spend most of my free time making banners. I think the color and pagentry of the middle ages sets us apart from other reenactment groups and I think displaying banners contributes a lot to the pagentry. I have made banners for royalty, nobility, households, Shires and Baronies. As I like to tell people, my nefarious plan is to take over the East Kingdom one banner at a time!
