Persona
Aildreda de Tamwurthe lives peaceably outside the city of Tamwurthe, managing a household that is almost too large for a widow to handle, but she perseveres. She raises sheep and supports herself largely through the burgeoning trade in English wool. She is often seen in the company of a young man from Brittany, who is himself of the household of the Seigneur de la Tour du Lac in Gascony. From time to time, she has the luxury of visiting there.
