Þóra Sharptooth discovered the SCA in the Shire of Nydderdwhee, Kingdom of Atenveldt (now the Shire of Glaedenfeld, Kingdom of Meridies), in A.S. IX. From A.S. XIII to A.S. XLVI she was a subject of the East Kingdom in the Shire of Frosted Hills. She has been a Viking since A.S. XX. She was a protegée of Master Arnoff Ragnarsson who introduced her to a number of string maniacs before he GAFIAted. Subsequently she apprenticed to Master Huginn Hrothgeirsson (in the feudal line of Merowald de Sylveaston) for 48 hours before becoming a third-generation research Laurel. She has taken four apprentices, all of whom have become Laurels.

Þóra is a thegn of the court of Thorvald and Svava. She is a founding member of House Truestring and currently shares one apprentice, Hon. Lady Ariadne Flaxenhair of Dragon's End who currently resides in the Kingdom of AEthelmearc. She established Hrim-Schola, the annual teaching event celebrating the fiber arts. She is a charter member of the Worshipful Company of Narrowworkers of the East Kingdom.
Þóra has resided since A.S. XLVI in the Province of the Mists, Principality of the Mists, Kingdom of the West.
Þóra Sharptooth is married to Dofinn-Hallr Morrison, and they have one child, Ljómi. They live on a small stead not far outside the bustling, smelly city of Jorvík (York) in the Danelaw. Her brother-in-law Tanna-Kormakr is the jarl, but he has no wife so she keeps the keys. The year is 950, and Eirikr Blodax is in charge.
