Born near the end of winter in 1528 of dubious lineage outside of Tours, Pierre took a place-name as his surname, staying mostly in central France until his fifteenth year. Because of his predilection of removing Inquisitors, he found it necessary to find lodgings beyond the reach of the Church, first migrating south by crewing aboard a "heavily armed merchant," then finally settling years later in Elizabeth's England.
Born in 1528, Pierre spent his early years pursuing general banditry, Inquisitors, and witch hunters, earning the sobriquet, "Dirty Pierre" by so doing. When the Inquisitors began to pursue him, he decided a career upon the sea offered more security. Shipboard life agreed with his nature (as did the resultant loot and plunder) and he crewed a few ships before being taken aboard the heavily armed mechanter, "Firedrake," where he rose first to Quartermaster, and finally Captain before retiring to England in 1587, his 59th year. Once ashore he opened a gaming house/brothel on the south side of the Thames. In 1589 he was selected by King Edward I as Baron of Concordia of the Snows. Unfortunately by 1591 it had become obvious to him that the Inquisition, though not as powerful in England as on the Continent, had once again located him and had tasked its agents with his demise. He stepped down as Baron in 1592 to once again seek security in a less prominent role and position. When last seen, Pierre was wandering docks along the south coast of England in search of a worthy ship and even more worthy crew.

Periodically he finds a certain comfort by returning to the Continent and continuing to offer alternative retirement opportunities to Inquisitors by thinning their ranks.

Introduction

Pierre de Tours, OGR, OSC, QoC. Joined the SCA in 1994 and became active in 1995. Resident of the East Kingdom throughout and presently residing within the Barony of Concordia of the Snows.

Persona
