Introduction

Lady Elvira Violante Ballesteros. Apprentice to Maestra Imigla Venture. Resident of the Shire of Quintavia. Also known as "Bearce" (Bear-say). Commonly found at any events where a kitchen is in need of help, or feeding others.

A cook in Rome, Italy. Daughter of an Andalusian silk trader (Father), and Spanish commoner (Mother).

Born in Valencia in 1466, Elvira lived comfortably as the daughter of a silk merchant. She spent her younger days learning to cook and care for a household as her Mother did. She unfortunately had to flee Valencia in 1483, after her Father was killed during the Purge of Andalusia.

Once in Rome, Elvira took work as a cook in a nobleman's home and was later "bought" as a servant to a Cardinal. After spending some years as a cook in this Cardinal's palace; the cardinal fell ill and she was questioned by the Pope's enforcers. Eventually found to be innocent, Elvira grew closer to the Borgia family and soon worked for them.

Lived from 1466 - 1519.
